We WANT our CLIENTS TO BE CLEAR ON our PROCESS BEFORE, ON, AND AFTER THEIR WEDDING DAY. BELOW YOU'LL FIND A DETAILED TIMELINE AND DETAILS ON OUR TIME TOGETHER.
1. A GOOD MATCH.
We always start with new couples by sharing that we very much value our relationship with each of our clients and believe that fostering that connection allows us to capture more genuine moments on a wedding day. We work very closely with each of our couples throughout their engagement season to help in a lot of ways you probably wouldn’t expect from your photographer. We communicate on a regular basis and help walk you through how to be prepared for the best possible wedding day. Because we believe so strongly in this, we always start with every new couple over the phone because we've found that it's a more streamlined way for you to determine whether or not you think we'd be a good fit for your day. Not only do we want you to have incredible images but an amazing experience throughout the entire time we work together, as well.
2. HAVE QUESTIONS?
In addition to a chat, we’ll ask you to take a look at my FAQ page. This will answer any questions you have and then some.
3. THE INVESTMENT.
My Associate and I offer four different Wedding Collections for you to choose from. While we're certainly not the cheapest photographers in town, we believe that wedding photography is an investment because your wedding images will stay with you forever. One day your children and your children’s children will pour over your wedding album and will be able to re-live one of the most memorable days of your life. Your wedding images will become a part of your family’s history and to me that is something worth investing in. Once your collection is chosen, you will be sent a digital contract that we will both sign and a link to pay the retainer. Once both are received, you are officially considered booked with Lauren Louise Photography! Yay!
After we’ve agreed to work together, you’ll receive a questionnaire for you to fill out with information about your wedding day. This helps us to prepare and stay organized.
If you included an engagement shoot in your collection, we'll schedule that. An engagement session is a great way for us to get to know you as a couple and lets you practice in front of the camera. You can also schedule a boudoir shoot at this time, as well!
6. SHOOT, EDIT, DELIVER.
After we’ve photographed your engagement session, you’ll receive a link to view your proofs within a week or so. You’ll then be able to download the digital files and purchase prints in your on-line gallery. These images make for lovely (more casual than your wedding) wall art, a “Save the Date” photo-card, or a sign-in book for your guests on the day of your wedding.
If you have a wedding planner or a day-of planner at the venue, please be sure we are involved in the creation of the wedding day timeline. This is one of the most important details to complete as planning your photos around light is crucial to getting the most out of your photography.
The day before the wedding, we pack our bags, charge batteries, format memory cards and load up the car.
If we're traveling from out of state, we always arrive at least a day before the wedding. We spend the extra time scouting the venue and looking for interesting places to shoot your portraits.
10. THE WEDDING.
We photograph. We cry. We dance.
11. THE DAY AFTER.
12. POST PRODUCTION & DELIVERY.
It takes up to 6-8 weeks to finish hand-editing all of your images. At this time, we’ll upload them to an online gallery for your family, friends, and vendors to view and send out your thumb drive of high-resolution .jpg files.
13. PRINTS & ALBUMS.
We’ll meet with you to choose images for your album and begin working. Depending on how fast you choose your images, album design takes about a month.
14. THE FUTURE.
Having a baby? We’ll be there. Traveling across the country? We love a good adventure.
