I WANT MY CLIENTS TO BE CLEAR ON MY PROCESS BEFORE, ON, AND AFTER THEIR WEDDING DAY. BELOW YOU'LL FIND A DETAILED TIMELINE AND DETAILS ON OUR TIME TOGETHER. QUESTIONS? I'M HAPPY TO HELP!

1. A GOOD MATCH.

Before you hire me for your big wedding day, we need to make sure we’re a good fit. When you inquire about me photographing your wedding, I’ll send over a short questionnaire that will help me get to know you as a couple and I’ll be able to get a feel for the style of your wedding, the kinds of photographs you’re looking for and any other expectations you have for me as your photographer. If questionnaires aren’t really your thing, a chat on the phone is great, too, or (my favorite) a face-to-face meet for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

2. HAVE QUESTIONS?

In addition to a chat, I’ll ask you to take a look at my FAQ page. This will answer any questions you have and then some. Still have questions? No problem! Shoot me a message!

3. THE INVESTMENT.

I like to keep things simple, and I don't like to tie my couples to a timeline, so I offer full day coverage. I strongly believe in telling your whole story, not just parts of it, so I'll arrive while you're getting ready and leave once I've covered the main events at your reception. Your wedding is exceptional and exclusive to you, and I believe that full day coverage provides for that. While I’m certainly not the cheapest photographer, I believe that wedding photography is an investment because your wedding images will stay with you forever. One day your children and your children’s children will pour over your wedding album and will be able to re-live one of the most memorable days of your life. Your wedding images will become a part of your family’s history and to me that is something worth investing in. Once your package is chosen, you will be sent a digital contract that we will both sign and a link to pay the deposit. Once both are received, you are officially considered booked with Lauren Louise Photography! Yay!

4. QUESTIONNAIRE.

After we’ve agreed to work together, you’ll receive a questionnaire for you to fill out with information about your wedding day. This helps me to prepare and stay organized.

5. E-SESSION.

If you included an engagement shoot in your collection, we'll schedule that. An engagement session is a great way for me to get to know you as a couple and lets you practice in front of the camera. You can also schedule a boudoir shoot at this time.

6. SHOOT, EDIT, DELIVER.

After I’ve photographed your engagement session, you’ll receive a link to view your proofs within a week or so. You’ll then be able to download the digital files and purchase prints in your on-line gallery.  These images make for lovely (more casual than your wedding) wall art, a “Save the Date” photo-card, or a sign-in book for your guests on the day of your wedding.

7. TIMELINE.

If you have a wedding planner or a day-of planner at the venue, please be sure I am involved in the creation of the wedding day timeline. This is one of the most important details to complete as planning your photos around light is crucial to getting the most out of your photography.

8. PREP.

The day before the wedding, I pack my bags, charge my batteries, format my memory cards and load up the car.

9. TRAVEL.

If I’m traveling from out of state, I always arrive at least a day before the wedding. I spend the extra time scouting the venue and looking for interesting places to shoot your portraits.

10. THE WEDDING.

I photograph. I cry. I dance.

11. THE DAY AFTER.

I post at least one sneak peek on my Facebook Page and my Instagram. If we’re Facebook friends (which we totally should be) I’ll tag you so you can share with family and friends.

12. POST PRODUCTION & DELIVERY.

It takes up to 6 weeks to finish hand-editing all of your images. At this time, I’ll upload them to an online gallery for your family, friends, and vendors to view and send out your thumb drive of high-resolution .jpg files.

13. PRINTS & ALBUMS.

I’ll meet with you to choose images for your album and begin working. Depending on how fast you choose your images, album design takes about a month.

14. THE FUTURE.

Having a baby? I’ll be there. Traveling across the country? I love a good adventure.
