Alex + Trevor | Central Park New York, NY Engagement Photographer

Last week I got to spend some time with one of my New York couples hanging around Central Park, just a hop, skip and a jump from where they live! These two have such a fun, warm energy and I feel so lucky that they've chosen me to document this season of their lives together!

In Alex and Trevor's initial email to me, Alex told me that from when she was a little girl, she would look at her parents wedding album over and over and never grow sick of it. "I would love for my kids to do the same; to look and ask about my dress and the people in our wedding, what the day was like." I am so excited to help this amazing couple preserve these memories for them and their families now and at their wedding next fall in Cape May, New Jersey. <3

Angelina + Michael | Bellport, New York Engagement Photographer

This past week I got to head back to my hometown of Bellport, New York to photograph Angelina and Michael's waterfront engagement session at Ho Hum Beach. This is the beach I grew up going to as a kid- we'd take the ferry over with all of our friends and spend the day swatting away green flies , sunbathing, and building sand castles. It was such a treat to spend a couple of hours there with this gorgeous couple (and major kudos to them for following all of my tips and tricks in preparation for their session!) If you're one of my couples and you haven't read through my Engagement Session Prep Guide yet, be sure to do so a few weeks before your session! I promise you, it will make ALL the difference! <3

CJ + Nicole | Southampton, New York Engagement Photographer

With all of this icky "spring" weather we've been having here in DC, I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite summer beach sessions I photographed last season while out on Long Island, where I grew up. Let your mind soak up these total beach vibes with CJ + Nicole's sunny + warm sunset engagement session!

Mack + Nicole | Union Market // Washington DC Wedding Photographer

Our Associate Photographer, Mariah, got to photograph the sweetest, most fun-loving couple at Union Market earlier last month! We absolutely love the way Mariah captured their personalities and their kick-ass style (wait until you see Nicole's jeans!) and we cant wait for Mariah to share all of her beautiful talent with our couples this year!

Also! If you're recently engaged and haven't checked out our new Engagement Session Prep Guide, definitely do! We'll go over how to pick your outfits, how to feel comfortable in front of the camera, and ways to get up close and personal with your love without feeling or look awkward. REAL. LIFE. STUFF. <3

Patty + Killian | Sugarloaf Mountaintop Maryland Engagement Photographer

This week I hiked up Sugarloaf Mountain in Maryland with Patty + Killian, two of those most kind-hearted and fun-loving people I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. Patty also brought along her younger sister, Charlie, to help with our hike up. She also did Patty's hair and makeup beforehand in the parking lot- isn't that so sweet?! The couple's style was so on-point (shout out to all of my brides renting their engagement session dresses from rent-the-runway!!) and they were down for absolutely anything! I am beyond excited to do the honor of photographing their wedding next March at Oxon Hill Manor and to meet the rest of their family and friends! <3 Enjoy!

Brooke + Matt | Richmond, VA Church Hill Lookout Engagement Photography

This week I traveled to Richmond for the first time to photograph Brooke and Matt's engagement session behind the Quirk Hotel (where I did an overnight- highly recommend!) and at the Church Hill Lookout. (Stunning views if you haven't been!) I'm super excited to photograph this sweet couple's wedding at the Hermitage Garden and Museum in Norfolk on the waterfront next June because...drum roll...they're including their two adorable pups in the nuptials! ACK!
